FAQ

How do I buy tickets online?

Simply click on the ‘Buy A Ticket’ button at the top of the page and follow the steps. You will receive an email and/or text message confirming your purchase along with details of your fishing trip.

Can I still buy my ticket at the fishery?

Yes, of course. Our easy to use touch screen is installed in the fishery club house and this is where you can purchase your ticket. You can pay by cash or credit/debit card. Please follow the on screen instructions to complete your purchase.

Do I need to print my ticket?

No. Fishery Reports is operating a paperless ticket system, please do bring your mobile phone with you to the fishery as the email/text message you received when you bought your ticket is proof of your purchase. The bailiff may ask to see this, although he/she will have their own report.

How do I submit my catch return?

You can either enter your catch return using the touch screen at the fishery club house, or you can enter them at home or on the go, using your laptop, tablet or mobile. Click on the ‘Enter Catch Return’ button at the top of the screen and follow the instructions. The catch return process is very quick and efficient and should take no more than 30 seconds or so. Anglers can even add photos & videos of their catches and share every impressive catch with other anglers! Once entered and saved, catch return data will be immediately available to any anglers searching for information.

What if I forget to submit my catch return?

If you have outstanding catch returns, Fishery Reports will remind you to enter the details every time you log in, whether that be online or via the touch screen. So you will always have the opportunity to enter your catch return information. The successful running of a fishery relies heavily on anglers catch return information, so please do consider this.

Is this technology necessary?

Fundamentally, YES. The average age of trout fishermen is 55+ years. The future of angling rests on the shoulders of the younger generation. By reducing the hurdles to entry and incorporating modern hardware with the sport of fishing, may make new or younger anglers less intimated by the perhaps perceived 'musty' atmosphere of the fisheries. It also enhances a seasoned fisherman’s day out, by providing an unrivalled level of information that is vastly superior to current standards. Fishery Reports gives anglers access to accurate, visual, detailed, up-to-date information about the water they plan to fish, thus improving the anglers odds dramatically that they will have an enjoyable, successful and memorable day’s fishing.

What are the benefits of Fishery Reports to anglers?

Anglers planning a fishing trip will be able to review in advance, online, the latest catch return information in advance of their visit and benefit from this by learning about the best tactics to use, the most successful areas to fish etc. Fishery Reports also allows the fishery management to have more time to spend talking with their customers, so anglers get the best of both worlds!

What if I don’t have an email address and/or a mobile phone number?

Anglers can still use the Fishery Reports service by logging in with your name and postcode. Users who use this method of logging in can enter catch returns and have a full Fishery Reports account, but will not be able to buy tickets online. Please visit the touch screen at the fishery club house to purchase your ticket.
